I am a passionate and versatile professional in the music industry, with a career spanning music production, performance, education, and composition. I graduated in Sound Technology from LIPA in the early 2000s, where I was honored with the Sennheiser Outstanding Achievement Award and a Principal Commendation for my work in music production on the Elvis Costello back catalogue with Sony/BMG.

Over the years, I’ve worked with Sony/BMG Publishing and Phonographic Performance Ltd (PPL), focusing on royalty collection. In 2004, I released my first album, Outside In, which marked the beginning of my journey as a recording artist. Since then, I’ve released three more solo albums and collaborated on multiple band projects.

From 2005 to 2010, I led The Noel Prior Band as the main songwriter and frontman, performing across the UK. Highlights of my live performances include appearances at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Boardmasters Mainstage, a BBC 2 Live Session, and The Hall for Cornwall. In 2006, I signed a commercial publishing deal and had the privilege of working with producer Ian Grimble on an original EP. Since 2010, I’ve focused more on my solo performances, continuing to share my music with audiences far and wide.

In 2005, I joined Truro and Penwith College as a Lecturer in Music Technology and Music Performance—a role I still hold today. I’ve served as Course Leader for City & Guilds Sound Engineering and have been leading A Level Music Technology since 2010. Teaching has been a deeply rewarding part of my career, and I’ve continually developed my skills, completing a PGCE in 2007 and earning Qualified Teacher & Learning Status (QTLS) in 2009.

In 2019, I began composing production music for TV and media industries. My compositions are now played globally every day and have been used on shows such as Neighbours (Channel 5), Emmerdale (ITV), Coronation Street (ITV), and The One Show (BBC). As a musician, I’m best known for my guitar playing, vocals, and songwriting, particularly in the folk/pop genres. However, I also play piano, drums, banjo, and bass guitar, and I enjoy composing in a wide range of styles for TV and media. Whether I’m performing on stage, teaching in the classroom, or creating music for the screen, I remain deeply committed to sharing my passion for music and creativity.
